Collaborate on the Google Map above by clicking HERE!
1) Click the Edit button.
2) Search for your particular location using the search box at the top of the page.
3) If you find it, it will pop up on the map in the form of a placemark. There is a feature that says Save to My Maps.
4) Select the map you want to save it to.
5) Add or edit any text or links to the placemark and press OK. Editing tools pop up in the left hand corner of the map
Possible Classroom Applications?
a) Getting to know your form class? Get students to map where they stay
b) In Geography, as a way to get students more familiar with map reading (although these are street maps)
c) In Maths, if we want to calculate distance and time taken (we can use the direction tool)
d) In English, if we want to get students to 'blog' or write about for example "A day in the life of..." and get them to trace the movement of a person from once place to another and document what he or she might be doing at each stop
